So for those of you who don’t know, I’ve had a pretty shitty week. The big part of that week was having to put down my cat Ginger on Thursday. So throughout that half-fortnight of crap, my way of winding down was to watch some South Park. It’s funny and I don’t have to think too much about it which makes it a great show to decompress to. I don’t have the seasons, so I went to allsp.com which has all the episodes and, amazingly enough, updates all the new once rather fast (so far season 11 is doing great).

I know that sites like this are normally supposed to be only linked to from friends over msn or through e-mails or whatever but quite frankly, it’s not as if this blog is the social hub of…well…anything. I’d kind of like it if this blog was a “hub” of some sort. I wouldn’t care of what, just as long as I could say “hub”. Hub hub hub…

Let’s face it. When the dead start rising, we aren’t going to know what to do. Sure you’ll have read the rules of how to survive in the Zombie Surival Guide, but as we all know, sometimes the circumstances change and despite what the survival guide says, you have to cut some corners.

The folks at Your Mom’s Basement have written some articles about what to do if you are about to be eaten by a zombie and what you should horde when an outbreak occurs. Here are some snippits:

“…I’m a thirtyish office drone who has just quit smoking after ten years, and has been out of shape for even longer. I’m chum. Zombie chum. I’m the guy that will be left behind with a twisted ankle plaintively begging my fellow survivors “Wait! Don’t leave me! From 1841 to his death in 1864, John Leech’s cartoons in Punch Magazine were a major feature. The archives contain over 600 of Leech’s sketches and more are still being added (the creators of the site have 2000 in total). I’ve always enjoyed editorial cartoons from different ages in history and these are a great example. Where else would you find an editorial that states that a good way to get away from a nagging wife is to inhale ether? And where else would you see the almost alien outfits worn in a cricket game?

I think this can be said about all faculty in a school. I recall the dean of my campus telling us all with a half-smile on his face that the students had no right to advise him on the poor quality of one of our teachers. Makes me glad I’m out of school so I can deal with this stuff in the REAL world.
